2015-17 Grant Applications
The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (PLCB) is announcing the availability of $2 million in grant funds to develop, implement or expand projects that reduce underage and dangerous drinking. The PLCB’s Bureau of Alcohol Education is soliciting grant applications for new implementations or expansions of existing projects using proven prevention strategies to reduce underage and dangerous drinking. These funds provide opportunities for colleges, universities, schools, municipalities and community organizations to request up to $40,000 with no more than $20,000 of projected expenses each year for 2-year projects. Grant applications will be accepted until 4 p.m. Friday, Feb. 13, 2015.
The grant application has changed from previous years. This year, it is in Microsoft® Excel format, which should eliminate most calculation errors. Additionally, some of the criteria have changed. All applicants are urged to review the instruction guide carefully.
Due to the competitive nature of these grants, we will not be able to provide technical assistance during the development of the grant submissions. Any questions you have during the grant development process should be emailed to RA-LBAEGrant@pa.gov. All questions will be answered within two business days. Answers will be posted on our website at: www.lcb.state.pa.us/PLCB/Education/Grants/GrantsQA. Please check this site often as you are preparing your application. The deadline for submitting questions is Friday, Feb. 6, 2015.
